PhoneShop

Never have I awaited a series with such anticipation...

Last November, Channel 4 aired a pilot as part of their Comedy Showcase called PhoneShop and now finally, the series launches on October 7th.

Ricky Gervais has joined the team as script editor, not that it needs him, after the pilot served up lines such as:

"Too many man are chasing them Zara level chicks. Its crowded up there. Swear down u gotta get academy on that shit. Smart guys like me are scouting those lower league girls who are just about to step up to Zara level. Lower leagues is where its at trust me. I'm talking about Claire's Accessories, New Look, Barratts."

I'm not the only one who'll be tuning in to E4 at 10pm on Thursday, there's already long-running unofficial blogs and a Facebook group!

Phonovideo

Everything about this is genius.

It's a live performance by Clemens Kogler, using 2 turntables, a video mixer and a camera. Check out this interview with the guy on Motionographer.

Eran Hilleli

Here's another brilliant motion designer inspiring me right now, this time from Tel-Aviv. Eran Hilleli.

It reminds me of Bunny Suicides by Andy Riley...

On a similar tangent, Yum Yum have created this cute short animation...

Twixtor

Check out this cleverly made music video...

It's actually all one shot, no tricks. Proved in the making of video here.

It's made using a program called Twixtor, that creates frames in video that don't exist... Meaning you can slow footage down to incredible superslow-motion.

The below video was filmed at 50 frames per second, but using Twixtor it can be slowed to 1000 frames per second.

Incredible.
